Also this year, we would like to take the opportunity to take a look back at the past year and provide an outlook for 2024.

For RAL COLOURS, 2023 had many exciting topics in store. For example, RAL COLOURS was once again nominated for the book project "The Major Brands in Germany 2024" by the German Design Council.

The current RAL COLOUR FEELING 2025+ presents the trend colour palette for the coming years with an associated collection of materials. The RAL Trendbox 2025+ received the "Gold" award in the Excellent Product Design category at the German Design Award 2024. Digital RAL colour libraries and an optimised RAL D2 Colour fan have also been available since 2023.

Farbkultur was on the road for RAL and collected the special features of Belgium.

For the first time, we are cooperating with raumprobe from Stuttgart, Germany, have extended our partnership with PLANT-MY-TREE^® and have supported various associations in their activities.

We also support two scholarship holders as part of the Deutschlandstipendium (German public-private scholarship) and have been able to explore colour-related topics in depth in lectures and workshops at various universities in Germany and abroad.

The RAL D2 Colour fan with all 1,825 shades of the RAL DESIGN SYSTEM plus has been further developed in terms of handling and international usability. Thus, the associative colour name for each colour shade is now in English on the front page and also in German, Chinese and Russian on the back of the respective colour tile. With the digital RAL colour libraries for all three colour palettes - RAL CLASSIC, RAL EFFECT and RAL DESIGN SYSTEM plus - material, surface and colour can be harmonised in the early planning phases. The download files contain colour values in RGB and Lab and can be imported into selected common software programs such as Adobe Cloud, Allplan or Corel.

RAL was on the road again in 2023 - among other things, we visited the fire brigade in Ratingen, Germany and talked about the colours of the fire brigade, their effect on us and which factors play a role in choosing the right colours.
